The government has reportedly extended the tenure of Dinesh Khara, Chairman, State Bank of India (SBI) till August 2024.
This extension aligns with the regulatory provision that permits the SBI Chairman to serve until the age of 63 years.
Khara had assumed the role of SBI’s Chairman on 7th October, 2020, initially appointed for a three-year term.
The notification to confirm his tenure is expected to be issued soon.
