Vodafone Idea has introduced Vi Finance, a new digital financial services platform integrated into the Vi mobile application, designed to offer seamless access to personal loans, fixed deposits, and credit cards.
The initiative marks the telecom operator’s latest step into the FinTech space, aimed at empowering its user base with simplified, digital-first financial tools.
Vi Finance has been developed in collaboration with Aditya Birla Capital, Upswing Financial Technologies, and Credilio, combining telecom reach with financial expertise.
The platform, now live on the Vi App, is positioned as a one-stop destination for customers looking to borrow, save, or establish credit, and promises a fully paperless, secure experience.
Through Vi Finance, users can apply for collateral-free personal loans starting from Rs 50,000, with interest rates beginning at 10.99 per cent per annum.
The entire loan application process is digital, requiring minimal documentation and KYC formalities, significantly reducing the time and friction involved in accessing credit.
For customers looking to grow their savings, the platform offers a fixed deposit marketplace powered by Upswing.
Here, users can invest amounts as low as Rs 1,000, with interest rates reaching up to 8.4 per cent. All fixed deposits listed are insured under the Deposit Insurance and Credit Guarantee Corporation (DICGC), ensuring protection of up to Rs 5 lakh per bank.
The credit card offering, developed in partnership with Credilio, includes a curated selection of cards from major banks such as SBI, HDFC, and Axis Bank.
In addition to standard credit card products, Vi Finance also includes FD-backed cards, enabling users with limited or no credit history to begin building their credit scores.
Available across India through the Vi App, which can be downloaded via the Google Play Store and Apple App Store, Vi Finance is accessible to a wide user base already familiar with the telecom operator’s digital interface.
Commenting on the launch, Avneesh Khosla, Chief Marketing Officer, Vi, said, “We believe this digital-first, paperless approach will simplify how millions of Indians manage their finances. Vi Finance brings speed, simplicity, and security to everyday financial decisions.”
Vodafone Idea’s introduction of Vi Finance reflects its strategic shift toward becoming a digital services provider, leveraging its existing telecom infrastructure to offer innovative financial solutions to customers across urban and rural markets.
