The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has extended the tenure of Amit Agrawal, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI).
In a notification dated 29th September, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet said, “The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved extension in central deputation tenure of Shri Amit Agrawal, IAS (CG:93), Chief Executive Officer, Unique Identification Authority of India for a period of one year beyond 02.11.2023 i.e. up to 02.11.2024 or until further orders, whichever is earlier.”
Agrawal is a 1993 batch officer of the Chhattisgarh cadre, and a graduate from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kanpur. He had assumed the charge of the UIDAI CEO in June this year.
