Standard Chartered Bank has announced the appointment of Aditya Mandloi as the new Head of Wealth and Retail Banking (WRB) for India and South Asia, effective from august.
Mandloi will be responsible for overseeing WRB operations across India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Nepal. The bank expressed confidence in Mandloi’s leadership, highlighting his experience and deep understanding of the South Asia markets as pivotal assets that will drive the growth of its business in the region.
In an official statement, Standard Chartered mentioned, “With his immense experience and deep understanding of the South Asia markets, the Bank looks forward to the growth of its business under his leadership.”
Mandloi’s association with Standard Chartered spans 27 years, beginning in 1997 as an international graduate. Throughout his career, he has held several key positions in product management, collections and sales. He previously led the WRB business in Bangladesh and served as the Head of SME Banking in India, where he was instrumental in building a sustainable and profitable business.
Mandloi served as the Head of Business Banking India and Global Head Business Banking – Sales and Marketing from 2022 to 2024. During his tenure, his leadership was marked by significant achievements and strategic growth initiatives.
Standard Chartered Bank expects that Mandloi’s appointment will usher in a new phase of growth and innovation in its wealth and retail banking sectors across the region.
