IndiaFirst Life has appointed Vivek Zakarde as the Head of Data Operations. In his new role, Zakarde will lead IndiaFirst Life’s data management, data science, Artificial Intelligence AI/ML, and business intelligence strategies, while contributing to the company’s ongoing digitisation and AI adoption efforts. With a track record of collaborating with global enterprises such as British Gas (UK), Ford Motors (US) and Suncorp Bank (Australia), Zakarde brings international experience to the table.
Expressing his enthusiasm for the role, Zakarde shared, “My passion lies in building high-performance teams that harness data to drive transformative improvements across products, services and business processes. At IndiaFirst Life, I look forward to elevating data analytics, helping the company navigate its digital and AI transformation.”
Zakarde, an experienced personality in data analytics, previously served as the Chief Data and Analytics Officer at IDBI Bank, where he spearheaded initiatives in Data Engineering, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), blockchain and customer experience. His career includes key positions at IndusInd Bank, India Infoline Group, Reliance General Insurance, EXL Services and WNS.
With expertise in Big Data, Cloud Computing and AI, Zakarde is expected to play a critical role in steering IndiaFirst Life towards technological innovation, focusing on areas such as AI, the metaverse, and other forward-thinking initiatives.
