Bharatsure has unveiled four novel insurance products at the Global Fintech Festival in Mumbai. These solutions are tailored exclusively to gig workers, students digital users, and businesses looking for sophisticated employee perks. This initiative is consistent with Bharatsure’s goal to “Insurance for All in Bharat,” which seeks to bridge the protection gap in under-served parts of the Indian society.
Bharatsure has launched gig worker insurance, providing health and personal injury coverage for as low as Rs 69 per month. The gig economy is a key contributor to India’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP). This plan, which already insures 20,000 gig workers in the logistics, mobility and staffing industries, provides critical financial stability by covering hospitalisation and accidental injury or death.
Anuj Parekh, Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Bharatsure, stated, “As the gig economy expands, it’s crucial to extend the same security enjoyed by traditional employees to gig workers. Our insurance plan ensures that this vital workforce is well-protected.”
Bharatsure offers Student Health Insurance for a little Rs 1 per day to help students with their health. This plan covers a wide range of medical bills, including over 540 day-care treatments and any type of in-patient hospitalisation, as well as common vector-borne and water-borne diseases like malaria, dengue fever, jaundice and cholera. This protects students financially at schools, colleges, universities, tuition centres and EdTech platforms.
Bharatsure’s cyber insurance programme covers the growing hazards in the digital environment. This complete coverage covers financial damages from digital theft, online shopping fraud, cyberbullying and identity theft, as well as legal and psychological help. It is intended for e-commerce companies, United Payments Interface (UPI) platforms, credit card providers and wealth technology firms.
These new solutions demonstrate Bharatsure’s commitment to enable critical sectors of the Indian economy.
