Suryoday Small Finance Bank has appointed Deepak Sharma as an Independent Director, effective April 2024.
With over 15 years of service at Kotak Mahindra Bank, he is known for his expertise in digital strategies, platforms and marketing.
During his tenure at Kotak Mahindra Bank, Sharma played a pivotal role in developing priority/HNI banking, NRI banking and forex business. As the bank’s President and Chief Digital Officer (CDO) for over five years, he spearheaded initiatives that positioned Kotak as a digital leader in the industry, including the establishment of Digital Bank-811.

Sharma’s track record includes serving on the Customer Advisory Board of Airtel since December 2020, showcasing his commitment to foster innovation and customer-centric solutions. His expertise in analytics, data management and talent acquisition solidifies him as a valuable addition to Suryoday Small Finance Bank as it aims to enhance its digital offerings and customer experiences.
In his new capacity, he will collaborate with the bank’s leadership, leveraging his expertise to develop robust digital strategies, oversee transformations and pioneer new business models.
