Lahiri, with over 17 years of experience in fintech, payments and emerging technologies, will spearhead Mastercard’s policy agenda, driving collaboration with governments, industry stakeholders and partners to foster a digitally inclusive economy.

Lahiri’s career includes leadership roles at tech giants such as Google, Amazon and Meta. In his previous position as Head of Fintech and Payments Policy at Google, he played a crucial role in shaping regulatory frameworks and building strategic partnerships for Google Pay and other fintech innovations.
With a wealth of experience across India, South Asia, Africa, the Middle East and the South Pacific, Lahiri has been instrumental in policy advocacy, regulatory affairs, and digital transformation within the financial sector.
