Anish Chowdhary, ex-Digital Business Head, Yes Bank, joins IBDIC (Indian Banks’ Digital Infrastructure Company) as the Chief Business Officer (CBO) and will be a part of the founding leadership team. The Digital Public Infrastructure start-up is a consortium formed through equity funding by 18 leading banks of India across Public Sector Banks, Private Banks as well as Foreign Banks.
Anish revealed IBDIC’s goal to build digital infrastructure for India. It aspires to create ecosystems that leverage technologies such as blockchain, AI, open banking etc.
He further added, “We are uniquely positioned to innovate network solutions for banks and other financial institutions that no institution can resolve on its own. We aim to build high socio-economic impact areas with significant white spaces like trade, financial inclusion, fraud prevention, etc.”
While speaking on his new endeavour, Chowdhary said, “After my last stint at Yes Bank and after having built and managed successful businesses and innovations across BFSI and other industries, I look forward to contributing towards this privileged national cause.”
IBDIC is led by Ashish Singhal, CEO (Chief Executive Officer), a veteran banker and previously, Managing Director of organisations like SVC Bank and Experian.
