Adobe has introduced an upgrade to its Firefly Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) suite, unveiling the Firefly Video Model—the industry’s first commercially-safe AI-driven video-generation tool. Now available in public beta, the new Firefly application provides a comprehensive platform for generating images, vectors and videos, seamlessly integrating with Adobe’s Creative Cloud applications.
The Firefly video model powers the Generate Video (beta) feature in the Firefly app and the Generative Extend (beta) tool in Adobe Premiere Pro, allowing users to create production-ready, IP-friendly video content. Adobe’s Firefly AI has already generated over 18 billion assets worldwide, and this latest innovation is set to revolutionise creative workflows.
To enhance accessibility, Adobe has introduced two new subscription plans—Firefly Standard and Firefly Pro—offering premium video and audio tools alongside unlimited access to imaging and vector features. Users can generate, edit and enhance visual content with cinematic effects before integrating it into Photoshop, Premiere Pro and Adobe Express.
The Generate Video (beta) feature enables creators to produce video clips from text prompts or images, adjust camera angles, add atmospheric effects, and develop motion designs. Initially supporting 1080p resolution, the model will soon expand to 4K for professional-grade productions.
