The government has appointed 12 General Managers (GMs) as Executive Directors (EDs) of several Public Sector Banks (PSBs), as per the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet’s approval.
Sanjay Rudra, GM, Bank of Maharashtra, has been appointed ED of the Union Bank of India. Vijaykumar N Kamble, a different GM from the same bank, will take over as the ED of UCO Bank.
In addition, Bhavendra Kumar, who is currently Canara Bank’s Chief GM, has been promoted as bank’s ED.
Ravi Mehra, GM, Punjab National Bank (PNB), has been promoted to become the ED of Punjab and Sind Bank. Bibhu Prasad Mahapatra, Chief GM, PNB is now an ED at the bank.
In March, Brajesh Kumar Singh, Chief GM, Bank of Baroda (BoB), would join Indian Bank as ED in March next year.
Rajiv Mishra, Chief GM, Union Bank of India, will take over as ED of the Bank of India.
In addition, Rohit Rishi, Chief General Manager, Indian Bank, would become the ED of Bank of Maharashtra beginning next month.
Apart from it, the government has given its approval for the appointments of Mahendra Dohare as ED of the Central Bank of India, Shiv Bajrang Singh as ED of Indian Bank, and Lal Singh as ED of BoB.
